- : No, I was pointing out the differences between VK and RR. *sigh*
-
- So what? I'm sure you could have listed hundreds of diferences?
- 'better' music, cooler setup, 'hey, its so cool you can play galaxian
- while it load', etc...
- My point was: I find RR totaly not fun to play, and it sold millions
- (probably around that), you find VK not fun to play and it sold near
- zero... Listing details is not the point. oh well..

-
- : Why RR was "too lame playing"? Care to be more specific?
-
- Simply boring... I loved to watch the demo, I drived a few
- time around with diferent cars and that was it... and of the game life.

-
- : Well, RR has uphills, downhills, things to bump on, road obstacles -
- : just as if you were driving for real. VK has a flat ground and when
- : you get off the track it slows down. Wow.
-
- You have to wonder how many people worked on RR... Now, even if the amiga
- version sold well (I cannot beleive one bit 120,000 copies in 3 days)
- you couldn't even pay development of such a game.
-

-
- : Yes, if you want a good racing game with a 3D feel to it on the Amiga
- : try XTReme Racing instead.
-
- I dont play amiga games anymore... for a few sensible reasons.

-
- : This is your own opinion. Maybe you don't like simple racing games
- : with realistic graphics, but that doesn't mean others shouldn't.
-
- Exactly the PSX as a much bigger audiance... I bet the author of VK
- with the PSX HW could have done 'miracle' and reach a large group that
- would actually buy it.

-
- : Do you honestly think VK and RR have got the same gameplay?
-
- Haven't played any amiga games for a few years now :)

-
- : Thanks for telling me.
-
- You welcome, you seen to have big illusion... I just dont want to see
- your kid/familie starving because you think you will make the next Amiga
- #1 hit.

-
- Its your word against my experience... I will take my experience in the

-
- : If a game is worth playing, it will sell, maybe with a few exceptions.
-
- Also, if if its not an exception, it might not bring money to the desinger
- team anyway.
-

-
- : Worms is a recent example of a game developed on the Amiga first.
- : If game companies like to keep a tight budget by doing straight ports
- : from the PC, instead of taking advantage of Amiga's custom chips,
- : it's their problem. Street Fighter II is an example of this. They
- : blame piracy about bad sales later.
-
- unexisting market not worth investing in... Like I said only a few
- game a year will actually bring in money. the market is too small.

-
- : Yup. What's your point?
-
- My point is... just above... 1) , 2) kind of piracy. 1) is not imoral
- or hurt the market, 2) is criminal. But any like you say, lets talk about
- the weather
